Remove the
UHF link for workshop alignment as the TX frequency has drifted way off and
no longer links to the 438.650 UHF Town repeater. Remove the
Dismantled WiFi equipment from the small building adjacent to the main site,
as it is no longer required or used.
Digi was removed a long time ago.
Site has no mains power – all switched off. |

Installed
2 new 105Ah dixon Deep Cycle batteries Rewired DC
supply to breaker rail using 10mm2 red black. Fit new
solar regulator ex GV. Rewire
battery leads using 16mm2 stranded red black. Repair
burnt off solar panel wires by rejoining them. 2 of
the 3 panels were O/C outside. Replace
VHF repeater - poor sensitivity, needed -70dBm or higher to open. Had to add
LK5 to power up. Set TX power to 4 = 15W Adjusted
RX-disable delay in both UHF links to midway, to remove far end blip. Baviaans link RF PA had
permanent low power alarm. Adjusted alarm threshold to 1W. Set output back to
5W. All OK. Replace
Slipper link RF PA because of low output. Set low power alarm to 1W. Set
output to 2W as before. Check digi low power alarm, set to 1W. Set output to 5W. OK. So all transmitters will give valid low
power alarms if the output drops to 1W or less. Set solar
regulator battery type to LIQU, was GEL. |
